AI Chip Stocks Enter Blockchain Era via Tokenized Trading
Bitget Wallet and Robinhood Crypto are partnering to let users trade tokenized shares of NVIDIA, Google, and Apple on an Ethereum Layer 2 network.
The boundary between traditional equity markets and decentralized finance is narrowing in a meaningful way. A new partnership between Bitget Wallet and Robinhood Crypto now allows users to trade Stock Tokens — blockchain-based representations of real-world shares — in companies including NVIDIA, Google, and Apple, all within the Bitget Wallet interface. The mechanism relies on Robinhood Chain, an Ethereum Layer 2 solution designed to bring the speed and cost efficiency of modern blockchain infrastructure to stock-like instruments.
The timing is notable. NVIDIA in particular has become a bellwether for the AI investment cycle, and routing exposure to its shares through an onchain token introduces a new class of investor to a sector that has largely been the domain of institutional and retail brokerage accounts. Layer 2 networks reduce transaction costs and settlement friction compared to Ethereum's base layer, making the model more practical for smaller, more frequent trades that retail crypto users typically favor.

What this partnership signals is less about any single company and more about a structural trend: tokenization of real-world assets, long theorized as a transformative force in finance, is beginning to find distribution channels with genuine user bases. Bitget Wallet and Robinhood both carry significant retail audiences, which could accelerate adoption in a way that earlier, more isolated tokenization experiments could not.
The convergence also raises substantive questions about regulatory oversight. Stock Tokens occupy an ambiguous space — they may confer economic exposure to a company's price movements without necessarily granting the same rights as a registered equity share. How regulators in the United States and abroad choose to classify and supervise these instruments will likely determine how far this model can scale. For now, the partnership represents a credible proof-of-concept that traditional finance and crypto infrastructure can coexist in a single user experience.
